I am a research psychology graduate with an interest in women‘s health. My training in psychology has allowed me to understand and appreciate the fundamental link between our mental and physical health. Running provides me with a space where I get to challenge myself on a physical and mental level, growing with each stride.
I have always enjoyed exercising but never pursued running as I thought I was unable to run. In September 2016, I started running to loose some weight I had gained. To my surprise I really enjoyed the trail parkrun I participated in weekly and this motivated me to start running regurlarly. In addition to the physical benefits I started noticing, the confidence I had in my own abilities grew along with my determination and perseverance to set goals and crush them!
I love exercising in group settings as this speaks to the extroverted side of me. I am so excited to be apart of the CMIYC team, where a group of women encourge and motivate each other while creating amazing new friendships.
