“We long to be an irreplaceable part of a shared adventure” Stasi Eldredge
I can’t say that I have an undeniable love of running, running and I have had our ups and downs, but I can say that I absolutely love sharing adventures with awesome people that involve testing the limits of the human mind and body!
My fondest childhood memories involve playing cricket in the garden with the whole family or riding my bicycle around the neighbourhood. My high school Biology teacher helped me realise that I wanted to learn as much as I could about the human body which lead me to become a Biokineticist, and that was only the beginning of my journey.
That undeniable love I spoke of earlier, I found it on the next stage of my journey when I became a Pilates teacher. There is something so powerful about discovering the perfect balance of strength and control in a movement you never thought you would achieve, and I get to share this with people every day!
The strength that I gained with Pilates has helped me fall more in love with running. Running pain free, with strength and an understanding of your body, is a game changer. Running used to be a chore for me, something that other people did and so I would join in because of FOMO. Now, I can happily throw on my running shoes and knock out a quick 5km, as long as I have some good company.
I’m quite excited about this next part of my journey with CMIYC. I believe it’s going to help me set and achieve so many new goals which will include lots of awesome races, including a few triathlons, and I can’t wait to see who comes along for the adventure!
