What is a ‘Virtual Race / Running Challenge’?
In the upcoming months, we will launch virtual races or running challenges that can be completed within a specified time frame. After completing your virtual race or virtual running challenge, send us evidence that you completed it and we will shower you in praise, and courier you a beautiful finisher medal to your address.
What is the difference between a ‘Virtual Race’ and a ‘Virtual Challenge’?
A Virtual Race must be completed in a single run. A Virtual Challenge is something that can be completed over a number of runs, e.g. 21km in two weeks.
How do I sign up?
How do I submit my proof?
We keep it simple: If you have a watch or any tracking app, you can just take a picture / screenshot once you’ve completed your virtual race or challenge, and upload on our Result Page on the website.
You can also follow us on our Catch Me If You Can Club STRAVA Account, and we see all your tracked activities on the Strava App automatically.
This will keep everyone motivated and accountable. We will however, work on a honesty basis.
Which distance do I need to cover and in which time frame?
All CMIYC Virtual Races or Virtual Running Challenges have different distances and time frames to offer. Just check our Online Shop or Social Media Channels on a regular basis, to find out about monthly challenges.
You can use tracked runs prior to entering the challenge, as long as they were completed between the given time frame and uploaded once you’ve finished on our Result Page.
You can walk, run or dance all challenges. All fitness levels welcome.
What do I get after I completed a Virtual Race or a Virtual Challenge?
All paid entries, will receive a beautiful CMIYC Medal (every challenge or race will have a different medal) sent via courier to their address. Delivery will commence latest 20 days after the challenge has ended.
And last, but not least …
All our CMIYC Virtual Races and Virtual Challenges will operate on a honesty basis. We really don’t need to say it, but please don’t cheat! Most importantly, have fun, challenge your friends, send us photo’s, tag us on Social Media with #CMIYC. Now go and smash it, for yourself!
